I hunt marks, tracking makes it much easier, I love that line. Plus the harvesting bonuses dont hurt. I'm definitely planning on getting tracking4.

Now I have some points I wanna spend in ranger. I was planning to get 3 boxes in the camping line(since I read I can just purchase high tech field bases and not make them) can I still use the top line base at box2 in that line?

So with master bounty hunter I'll have just enough for tracking4 and frontiering 3. Sound good? Or are there some other ranger skills you think would be more usefull?

You won't be able to use the high tech field base with only Frontiering II, but you are right that you can use them at Frontiering III.

Frontiering is basically all for show until they fix the advanced camps to repel aggressive creatures, unless you use the crafting stations, or really need the faster healing. (which is not that much faster). I use the basic scout camp most of the time. It will be a better line when they add hunting blinds...but I don't know when that will be.

Wayfaring might be useful to you, since the next patch will make it more effective (I hope), and since camo kits work on NPCs, not just creatures.

Trapping is mostly useless now, but will be cool when they implement the trip-wire (which can be used on humanoids...) and the lures which help isolate creatures from the pack.

I would probably dump Frontiering and go with Trapping or Wayfaring if I were you.
