Idea: Permanent encampment.
I have not seen this idea brought up here, though I am sure I am not the first one to suggest it.
Several profession have special building available when they reach master or close to master. Merchants even have a tent. Such unique buildings styles help make a profession more visible, and help provide a feeling of a role in the world.
I envision a camp with a tent of the same style as the ID tents, they are larger then the merchant tents so would be better soothed for decorating as a home. Outside in front there could be a pavilion like the one in the field base, and under the pavilion a fire place with a 3/4 circle of chairs like in the high quality camp.
It should be possible to have to land flattened around the camp, as long as the footprint of the camp is bigger then flattened land (like it is on a faction base). It should be possible to place items inside the tent, but not outside in the camp. The private/public access of the structure should only count for entering the tent and not the rest of the footprint.
In lot cost perhaps a 2 or 4 lot structure, of cause with the appropriate amount of storage (100 items per lot), and a footprint equal to a cantina or theatre. The maintains cost should also be equal to a normal building of that size.
The camp should be build by architects as we shoot keep our interdependence, but perhaps it could require a large amount of hides.
Such a camp would be a perfect place for a ranger to meet up with a costumer when, when the ranger finally have to come out of the wilderness. Most of us can properly imagining meeting coming out of the wilderness after a long hunt, and then enter our larger tent,
Alternatives
We could just use our normal camps as is, but where we had an option to place the camp as a permanent encampment instead of as camp. The camp terminal would then functions like the structure terminal, and we could have a factory style hopper on the terminal as well, so we could store thing in the camp. It would properly take less work to implement, but would also be far less functional.

I like the idea a lot.
I have to say that there are some other proffs that should be in line ahead of use, like IDs, for their own building, but I would be happy about it.
But if its the size of the ID tent, one lot 100 items. Small and meduim houses are both 2 lots, 200 items. Medium Tat houses have about the same foot print as Larg Tat houses (5 lots 400 itmes). Lots not so much about the foot print size.
Now if it was a cantia sized tent...

I have 4 Meduim houses. I'm not taking up a lot of space? lol, 400 items in a house the size of ID tent makes me sad, that's all.

No not a cantina sized tent. Just the footprint of the structure. If the ground have to be flattened, and it have to have room for the tent and the camp, then it need a large foot print to avoid levelling the ground that belong the neighbouring buildings footprints.
The reason I suggest the ID tent is that the graphics already exist witch makes it easier to implement, and that the other tent that merchants have is just to small to properly decorate as a home.
The larger lot use is so we do not end up with rangers placing 5-6 permanent camps to hold thair stuff, with the large footprints that would just take up to much space.
There do exist a few other tents in game, but they do not have a floor, I often see them in Naboo RSF camps. Adapting them would likely require a lot of work as well.
As for the time frame, I do not expect anything like this to go in before our rewrap if it ever does.
