Looked on an Exploration Terminal just now, apparently they arent giving out creature names as they did before.
You get a picture of an animal, and a useless little story at the bottom, and thats it. It doesnt tell you want particular animal to kill. Is this recent? Is it intended?

I'm just amazed that someone looked at an exploration terminal.

So am I. I was bored!
It used to say blah blah blah Bolle Bol. Show you a picture of a Bolle Bol and the number you had to kill. Now its just got a picture and the number you have to kill. No name of the creature. So you're really screwed if it wants you to kill a particular species.

You should be able to recognise the creature from the picture. Call yourself a Ranger? Pfff.

Ah, but is that gorg a gorg or a gorg glutton? The bantha just any old bantha or a matriarch, or a rogue... You only get the payout when you kill enough of the right ones after all.
(Less amazed that anyone looked at an Explo term than the fact that the term could remember how to reply at all)

waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, I used to love explo terminals. you take one "kill this many creatures" mission, and then a regular destroy mission from the other terminals and you've got a quick way to make some cash. Actually, with vehicles in the game now, I bet that's a fairly quick way to make small amounts of money as a new player. and now that you get a free vehicle....hrmmm..

Depends how big it is[1].

I never actually did Exploration Terminal missions[2] but other quests where you have to dispose of a certain number of enemies (viz C-3TC quest, Aurilia quests) have system messages when you kill the right thing. You could use this to your advantage. If it applies.
Otherwise just go and kill all the banthas you can find. Wooly pests.
Meh, three hours before I get to go home from work.
[1] Probably wouldn't work in reality as the image would be scaled.
[2] Search for a bunch of monsters or get more money to have them come to you? Easy choice.

Well I use to make good credit off the explore mission terminals, but not on hunting missions. When I was an entertainer, I use to run recon mission on my swoop, easy cash, and no combat skills needed.
A new player who get a 10 use vehicle can easily make the credit for a swoop in a hour or less.

Exploration terminal are still, if you take 2 hunting missions 9k each and you hunt this type of critters only to harvest resources for your personnal use or even if this ressources are for the ''grinding'' market......its easy extra money, no?
