Thread: Have any of yall openly KS'ed?

I will admit I have openly stolen someone elses kill. During the time I was havingA RIS crave. The first GDK I soloed I got a scale. I was even at Kimo Ciry (or whatever its called, the POI). Well after I got my helmet crafted I wanted more. I headed back to Kimo City. A GDK was there. I got excited, but I made a few passes first to make sure noone was attacking. I saw noone, and even did a area track and came up with nothing. So I dismount, mask up (alot of baby kimos running all over the place), then engage this GDK. I'm working its HAM down when someone sais "this is my kill." I will admit the GDK did have a minor amount of health gone. I had just assumed that somebody tried to kill it before I got there, but they had gotten eaten(remember I did some passes and Area tracked). So I say cool, get back on my bike and cruise off. There is a player house not too far from where the GDK spawns. This person that told me was also running out on the porch and shooting the GDK with a scatter pistol that had a dot. Everytime the GDK woudl aggro this player he would just run back in the house. I thought this was kind of cheap. But I decided oh well and started heading towards the volcano. All was over and done with until I passed this player who said, and I quote "Thats what I thought ranger boy." This player had a novice doc tag showing and was doing absolutely 0 weapons damage to the GDK. Only damaged caused was by the decent dot on the pistol. I couldnt help but laugh, turn my bike around, and finish off the GDK. I got loot rights, and what do you know another scale. Of course I had to put up with leet tells for the next few minutes. I havent gotten a scale since.

I'd don't know but that dosn't realy sound like kill stealing.
I hate campers with a passion. I hope all their uBeR weapons get nerfed in to uselessness when the CU goes live. I would have sat there all day after that "ranger boy" comment, but I'm that kind of bizitch.
There is a guild on my server that does nothing but camp the Geo cave. If I could I'd KS from them for months. And give away all the loot they are hoarding to drive up the prices.

If I had the crazy insane T21 or dxr to out damage them I'd do the same thing

If someone is exploiting or cheating, I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever about KSing them. None. They shouldn't be having the kills in the first place, and what're they going to do? Report it and say, "I was on Talus explointing at the Sludge Panther Village, and someone came up and rightfully killed them when they spawned?"
I've also been known to KS AFK combat campers (though I do usually leave them alone). Either play the game or log out.

I have never stolen a kill. There is a large guild on server called TIA that takes pride in kill stealing. I'll look for thread and post it. It's a form of griefing period. Thankfully spawns have increased and TIA hasn't had the need to take everyone else's hunts.

Aww why'd you have to remind me of that Oppma? Not many people or things get me fired up like that, but Selica sure did, not one of my better moments for sure. I'm just glad I had enough sense to walk away from the keyboard before I said something even worse.

Back awhile ago when people used to camp the crazed geo's in the front of the cave a friend and I would KS all of them while people camped the spawn. The best part was we wouldn't loot the corpse and make the spawn slower. Fun times.

lol Sorry Shub. Didn't mean to remind you of a heated moment. Just showing how certain people take pride in griefing a group like ours that was out trying to play the game the right way.

What you did wasn't kill stealing really. Moreover, I would have reported this a$$ hat for exploiting. This kinda behaviour (let alone the "Ranger Boy" comment) really shines a bad light on the game and I have no quams shedding a CSR/SOE light into their dark corner of exploiting.
Also, if I were in your shoes in this situation, I would have done the exact same thing. In fact, if I were unbuffed, I probably would have gone back to CNet, gotten a buff, and then flown all the way back out there. But, this type of behaviour really chaps my #$% and turns this friendly ranger into a jerk.

I can say honestly none of my toons have done any KSing. But I have had it done to me.

LoL ther eis nothing liek fighting a kimo where the only thing you see is its head. Then its ham starts dropping super fast andyou think "yeah I'm kicking its ass," but when the thing drops you see glowing sticks everywhere.
