Thread: Funny/Noob Campfire Stories

sorry if there is already a thread like this but i got a great one:
As I first began Ranger me and my friends discussed how we thought how if people come into your camp you get more xp (i still don't know if this is true lol...) well i had a macro going saying, "Yeah... Thats right I'm working on Ranger right now and if you would like to help just go afk in the camp"
a couple minutes go bye and a guy comes rolling by on his speeder and reads my macro
he calmly takes a seat and puts on the "AFK" tag and starts talking to me =)

Hey thats a good idea!
When I've been doing survival xp I've been doing it outside theed when I'm not on giant guild hunts, and often times we get the casual new player strolling by wapping on the spineflaps. Most of the time they'll stop by and check the place out and start up a convo, if they are really friendly. Mostly I'll roleplay like my friends and me are on a camping trip, I'll ask them if they want something to drink and hand them a beer from the icechest (which is in the tent). Often my beer varieties range from Nabooian Gnort Stout, Dathomirian Witches t i t ale "its got bite!" and many others.. and of course I have to throw in Guiness.
We sit and tell stories, craft, make smores and just have wacky conversation - whatever it takes to pass the time.
I'll have to try that idea though, but I've found that waving to the passers by often draws their attention and keys up some sort of friendly reaction.

When I first showed a friend the high tech camp, I near fell out my chair laughing when he went prone and crawled under the perimiter fence. lol he was also the first to point out that the chairs floated. I think that really bothered him. <g>

Got one that is more visually funny than story.....
After I'd been in the game about 3 months, I was feeling cocky and decided to go to Endor to see what it was like.
If you remember from launch, pretty much no one went to the more advanced planets unless you had a large party. Well here I am on Endor near the smuggler's outpost and all of a sudden I see these red dots on my radar. Thinking they were they same level as say narglatches I figured...what the heck, I'll take them.
Remember I'm a wookiee and this is before wookiee armor or buffs.
So I get closer and realize they're Ewoks. I'm thinking..."I can't kill an Ewok".. All of a sudden the nice attack music comes on and I notice they are running towards me, so I did a 180 and ran the other way. I thought i would look hilaroius so I took a screen shot as I ran.
Imagine a Wookiee without any armor or clothes, holdng a rifle being chased by 4 Ewoks on Endor with NO ONE else around.
Like I said it's probably more visual funny than story funny, but my friends used to get a kick out of the pic.

I used to love setting up a camp next to a lake or river and start doing some fishing. Folks going by would wonder what I was doing. When I said fishing they would laugh and not believe me.
I also remember a time a bunch of us Rangers were hanging out in our camp healing up from some big hunt. Here comes a noob with a whole mob of razor cats chasing him and yelling help help to us. He ran right through our camp, lol.

One time, on Dantooine, I saw a guy getting beat up by a few huurtons. I ran up and killed the huurtons before they slew him. He got up andI see his bike a few meters off all crackling and burning, so I gave him my speeder. A few minutes later I geta tell... "Do you happen to have anymore speeders on ya :-D" Maybe not so funny, but considering the fact it had been about two minutes since I gave it to him... well, he gets my Super-noob vote.
