Thread: I think my ranger skill mods are bugged help :(

The past week of myself being master ranger i found it no diffrent from being novice ranger... here is a example " You harvest 168 Units of Gurk herbivor meat the creature was fat and healthy" this was alos using veghash. Also when i milk fambaa a scout lvl 4344 gets 220 milk i get 120 milk... im not liking this at all

There are no mods that affect the quantity of milk collected. You should get as much as anyone else. As far as what you are harvesting off of Gurk, there are too many variables, and nothing to compare your numbers to, to tell if there is a problem. Do you have any more info (harvested amount off of another animal, were you grouped? Droid? anything more will be helpful).

The amount of milk has been boosted, yet is still not tied (as calc said) to the harvesting skill.
Secondly, the best way to test harvesting numbers, is to find a friend with master scout only, or ranger XX4X, or novice scout, then test the numbers grouped, then ungrouped, then with veghash, then without.
That way you get a fairly good range of data to compare your results.

If you are going so far as to collect data to see if you mod is buged. Don't use veghash lol.
One Variable! You and some one else harvesting not in group. Its crap work as it is. If you add more variables you are more likey to render the data useless, or just give up.
Don't bother any that's about what I get off a gurk. What where you expecting?
Its will cost you a few credits but.... Drop the Master box harvest several of a two or three things. Get the Master box back and do it again.

Ok, scientific method 101:
Obtain several results from harvesting the same species on the same planet, with the same results i.e. every time you harvest the same resource it should say "the creature was fat and healthy" for every result you consider in comparing your data to other players.
Get another player of the same level as your own or lower, which would be less than a Master Ranger, to harvest the exact same creatures on the exact same planet and only compare your results to theirs if they are similar.
Instructions:
Since creatures who give larger amounts of resources would be easily comparable, you might want to fight Kaadus for this. I also suggest that you do not group, as this might be another variable based upon the different levels of Harvesting and what is the artificial 'cap' of this skill. With that in mind....
1) Find a scout or Ranger of any level, and ask him to tell you his Creature Harvesting bonus. Write it down, and write yours down as well.
2) Get missions for Kaadus, or track them yourself, and approach the lair.
3) On the first lair, only one of you will be attacking the creatures and harvesting, in this case, their Avian Meat.
4) After you have finished one instance of combat, write down what the results were from harvesting. Label the Kaadus as #1A, with '1' representing the first of two lairs, and 'A' representing the first Kaadu that you harvested. You need to record if each Kaadu was Male, Female, or Scout, if the results were "The creature was fat and healthy," and the amount of Avian Meat that you successfully harvested.
5) After you have done this for the first lair, repeat the steps at the second lair but only the other Scout will be attacking and harvesting.
6 ) If you have enough results from creatures that were harvested under similar circumstances, and the other Scout still harvested more than you in a majority of the creatures, then it is bugged.

I spent a few hours yesterday doing nothing but harvesting the same type of creature on Endor. I noticed havest amounts varied between lairs. Some would give 300+ others around 215. Perhaps you just had bad luck?

hmm well guy i group with a master ranger ran aload of test thanks all for your help... seems im not bugged at

Um, no problem?
Hehe, it was a lot of thought but I have taken Biology courses before, so I am familiar with comparative studies
