Think I'll go Rifleman for the Tantel.
It just looks sweet on a Rodian Ranger

My hunter (note, I didn't say "my ranger" as the results from getting the first skillbox of an elite combat prof does not look too promising regarding the health/conbatlevel-issue) will be armorless, I might aim at a tkm based tank template with scout 3040 ...

Ehm....
As we talk "current live" here (as you speak about Mando being certed for Master Rangers) I have to tell you Mandalorian is *far* from the "uberest", it's actually quite bad and mostly a "show-off" item with little real usefulness :-).

It is showoff and most importantly we dont know how it will be implemented in the CU.
When you do the mando quest you could just be given some armour or you could be given a limited use schematic that an armoursmith uses. I think it will be the later as it will allow you to put whatever advanced core you want in it and have stats in line with the other armours.

Yup, posr-curb mando might be somewhat "usable" but I talked about the current situation

Ah yeah i know and i agree, i was just wondering how its going to be implemented in the CU. The quests armour decay needs adressing too, or i would like to see it addressed. I wish it could be deconstructed once down to low condition and then an armoursmith could build it up again, sort of like salvage the skin you would get so you never 'loose' your armour and wouldnt have to do the epic quests again. You would just have to get an amoursmith to make you it up again (as to not make armoursmiths loose business).
You would essentially be paying for a new armour set, however you would have the quest skin and could use it all the time.

I would think that once you're certed for armor from a profession you can wear that armor without penalties regardless of weapon equipped. This is the only way I can see this working. Ranger, doctor and combat medic all have armor certs, but none of these professions have a way to 'switch to ranger', or 'switch to doctor'. If you mean unequiping your weapon this has generally meant that you've 'switched to TK'. As there's no way to 'switch to ranger' the certs must work regardless of weapon. In addition, they're unlocking specials from the profession you learn them in, so don't see why they'd then lock armor into the profression you get them.

If it's that way - I can live with that.

Recon Marauder looks better than Battle Marauder - but since I'm ranger/rifleman (and if it's going to be like mentioned above) I can wear them both

True, but the intention and ethos of the armour is still there, and most people think that way. my arguement wouldnt have the same effect on him if I said "Mando isnt the best combat armour and is mostly a showoff only players who are not the best in combat and mostly show offs are certed to wear it. Like master rangers!"

Note the Recon marauder armor is like the coolest looking thing I've ever seen.

The marauder armours are mixed up. The stuff i was wearing about an hour back it says there is the assault armour but it said in game it was battle.
