Thread: RANGERS CAN GET lots OF MONEY OFF BAZZAR
Ozz,
Unfortunately, they're only usable by other Rangers.Good idea though.

Mabye not from selling camps, but rangers can make quite a profit from selling hides, meats, bones to other professions. I've got about 15k of the latest batch of endorian leather hides [which I need for cammo kits] that are rumoured to be selling for about 9-10 per unit.

Well actually with frontiering 3, can't you make the top field base? I'm a few K away from finishing level 3 and I might actually buy a few of the camps if I see them on the bazaar.
65K of frontier xp for Master... hehe
Japhy,
I think you CAN use them, but you're not supposed to be able to. ![]()
Quick! Use 'em before the devs nerf it!

"I think you CAN use them, but you're not supposed to be able to."
- Actually, I was under the impression you could use the camp one level higher than your current skill.
- You just couldn't make them yourself.
- It adds diversity by allowing a character to choose whether they want to buy the camps from others (and save the skill points), or learn the skill to make the camps themselves.
I've had other Rangers request, and successfully use HTFB's that I've made, when they had only Frontiering 3. It is correct that while they cannot *make* them, they can still deploy them.
I did manage to sell one HTFB on the Bazaar once, but I'd suggest that you make it evident in your posting that the Base can only be deployed by someone with Frontiering 3. The last thing you want is for a Novice Scout to pick it up, and then chew you out for wasting his money on something he couldn't use. ![]()

I can confirm that with Frontieiring III you can use HTFB's crafted by other rangers, and you get more XP with them. I don't think this is a bug because:
1. You do gain camping skill at Frontiering III...what is the point of this skill increase unless there is a benefit?
2. It stimulates the economy by giving senior rangers and scouts a market, albeit small, for their camps.
The only problem is that your customers don't know they can use these higher level camps, and most won't buy them. To me it was worth it to pay 500-750cr each for a HTFB to get to Frontiering IV faster.

That's right Nraas! One level Higher than you can make. Like that with medic, I can only make stim-a's but I can use B's. In Musician it's like that also, but you're told that in qualifications.
That's funny. I can make Stim Cs but can only use Stim Bs. That's actually because the skill line needed in making the meds is different than the skill line in using them.

hmm. never knew that. nice. can master scouts deploy the lowest ranger camp?
-Ide Jder. Master Ranger
"can master scouts deploy the lowest ranger camp?"
-I've never tested it though, so I don't know if you can jump professions like that.
- Can anyone verify this ability?
- As even the lowest level Ranger camp is supposed to repel critters, it might be possible tomake some money sellingthefirst levelRanger camp to thehorde ofMaster Scouts. ![]()
