Thread: Question about Harvesting...

Hi guys,

I've seen a lot of negative reaction to the new group harvesting feature, reactions which I did not have at all when hearing about the changes. Maybe I'm just group biased (Maybe an odd thing for a Ranger in itself) but its been a bonus for me.

I have probably only had 5% of my groups include no other PCs with Scout abilities. As such, I was constantly rotating harvest rights with my other members. With one other Scout, my harvesting was already cut 50%, more scouts, more cuts.

The 60% rule works great. Sure, I take a hit when I'm the only Scout in the party, but like I said, that's very rare for me. In the other 95% of my groups, I'm already ahead a minimum of 10%.

Have I just happened to group with an extraordinary number of fellow Scouts, or is there some other negative to this whole aspect I'm missing. The numbers just seem to favor me (Though I haven't sat down and tested the percentages myself).

Anyway, I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Thanks,

It's not so much that group harvesting has been decreased by 40%, but that ALL harvesting has been decreased by about 40%. If you hunt a creature that gave 25 hides before the patch it is giving less than15 while Solo, and 7 while grouped.

Personally I like the group harvesting option, getting about 1/2 the harvest while grouped is better than not getting any,but they need to fix the solo harvesting.

I dont dislike the group harvesting reduction. I think it's a great idea.

It's the reduction across the board, the solo harvesting reduction, that bothers me.

I would have rather seen a 30% group harvest reduction and no solo reduction.
