Sorry, but you're right 
You want Talusian wooly you have to hunt paralopes, most everything on Talus is either leathery or bristley. If you're lucky you have a fighting skill thats lvl 7 so you can get missions for them to make your search easier but thats about the best you can do to track 'em down. I still keep pistol 1 just for that reason.

Due to an extremley good grade of wooly on Talus atm the poor Paralope is fast becoming an endangered species ! As far as I've seen so far however it's the only animal on Talus that drops wooly, am I wrong ? Please say yes !
