"I do not understand why we have not be given the power to experiment on our camps and traps"
I have heard from the source that experimentation happens to be one of the most time consuming anddifficult elements to add to the game...
- Given that, adding working experimentation is even harder.

I am certain that experimentation on camps and traps is coming down the line eventually...
- Though I have no inkling as to when we will see it.

I like the fact that (right now) you can use your crap hides and bones to make camps and traps by the crate. It means that what I get that's good goes for sale or to my guildmates who need it for armorsmithing but I can still use their cast-offs. It would be cool but I can make enough other stuff that I can experiment on that I don't feel left out by not doing it on this stuff.

I agree wholeheartedly. I love just killing something that is near me to get what I need, when I need it and it works most of the time.

yet another post agreeing that I like camps the way they are right now. You should need high quality hides to throw up a good tent.

First off, forgive me if this has been proposed or whined about heh.
So, as a ranger the only thing we can experiment on is the camo kit. I find this to be quite unfulfilling with all the cool stuff we are able to make. I do not understand why we have not be given the power to experiment on our camps and traps. Heres some of what I would like to see:
Traps:
Experiment on effectiveness and number of traps. The glow-wire traps for example; it would be great to be able to experiment up the ammount of defense down and the quantity of the traps. It would be great to be able to experiment on all traps for the duration of their effect.
Camps:
Experiment up the heal modifier. This would give our camps the importance they need in the game. Also to be able to experiment on the duration the camp will stay active after leaving it would be great. I'm tired of throwing down a field base only to have it disappear or become useless soon after the first time I leave it.
I'm just hungry for somethin new for Rangers, seems like it would be easier to add to what we already have then to make completely new stuff...still want that too thought

Thanks for the feedback.
Good points from everyone on liking the use of poor quality materials to throw down a quick camp. What I was thinking though is that poor quality material camps still should function close to the level they are now. There are plenty of times where I have been out hunting and just wanted to setup camp to regen mind. What I love about the field base kits that I have is when I have wounds (nothing too high of course) and want to heal those. It would be cool if experimentation would allow for the heal rate of the wounds to be greater...and would IMO be definately worth the expense of higher quality materials.
