Thread: Obligatory Wow! The HTFB is NEAT! post
Also heals a net value of 2 wounds per minute. I had 124 health wounds when I set it up. After 55 minutes, I was down to 14 health wounds.
I decided to test to see if they repel aggro yesterday, since I had read recent claims that suggested that this was the case. Just so you all know, my HTFB definitely didn't repel the 3 giant sand beetles that I ran (screaming) away from after I punched one.
VG: Yes, yes it is (it's my protable hospital and crafting station for Camo Kits
)
Squib: No, no it doesn't. Never drop it close to "bad things". They don't even see the camp, just you looking like lunch... and well lit.
I like them because they have lots of room for large groups to move around in, heal faster, have crafting stations (love when I'm in a big group, drop one and see 2 medics run to the station and a weaponsmith to the other!)
Truly loathe the fact that when I drop it I become useless to the group, cant shoot a darn thing that comes by, just there to hold the poles in order to keep it from collapsing on my freinds. And the fact that it does not repell as advertised, that really stinks.
Still get a small kick though when people run by and pause outside to ponder or come right in and start saying "Wow, this is a camp"and other such things.
If they would only fix the 2 issues, the value of the HTFB would go up by a mulitple of 5
/agree
The fact that I become a "pole supporter" when the camp is up is kinda rough but I remember the abuses of beta when camps didn't go away and I'd have to say that the current method, while a pain, is less of a pain than it might be.
"Was it a bug?"
The camp disbanding system is based somewhat on the amount of damage you take during combat...
- So you can swat the little critters that wander by, but if you take some defined amount of damage, the camp will disband.

You must also remain within a certain distance of the camp as well, or risk disbanding.

So... I could conceiveably send out a pet to tank and pull critters to within range of the camp and plink them with me rifle??

Any damage your pet takes is considered damage to you, and may cause the camp to disband. ![]()
I think that we should get two camps that don't disband during combat.. . the monster camp.. the one that supports a large group.. and then a tiny camp for one or two people.
I'm still wondering how this was abused though.
I think the abuse wasn't that the players abused it, it was that the camps abused the players.
You need to remember that you are limited to only having one camp up at a time. If camps didn't disband when you left them, then you could be blocked from setting up a new camp until 50 minutes passes by or you hunt down that camp you setup awhile back and disband it manually.
This is what I think the earlier poster meant, although I was never part of beta so I'm not sure.
