Will someone ingame give me a good smack in the face,

I've been a Ranger since day 1, and never knew how to make camps in a crate until a week ago, hehe.

Ok, you people may feel obliged to give me a smack also, but could someone explain that to me? How does one do this? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

I could be just mixing this up with something I already do, and just don't call it that, but could someone please "enlighten" this Ranger?

The advantages:

- 25 pre-made camps per crate that takes one inventory slot.
- Not necessary to carry hide/bone/metal to make them on the spot.

The disadvantages:

- You need access to an equipment factory.

I like to have a crate of both the top-end and the basic camp on me at all times. I keep extra crates at home to restock when I am low. (The same applies to the useful traps as well, like the phec dart.)

Heh, thanks for taking the slap for me, I was going to ask. I tried this on my crafting station in my HTFB, and I didn't see it anywhere to do schematic. Does this mean it doesn't work in our camp crafting stations or I just missed it?

I like keeping crates of camo kits in my inventory so I am ready for any events I am going on with my guild & friends. certainly beats having a ton of individual camo kits in my inventory hogging space that could be used for my 15 crates of powerups I never leave home without

Hmm, i must say at first i thought id never use a factory, but now it sounds like a good idea. I can carry less items around with me. Instead of having my traps take up 5 different slots, and my camps take up 10. I can carry a larger quantity and take up less space. (its funny saying that, because it defies all logic:smileyvery-happy

Quick question though.....does anybody know what it takes to run a factory and what the rates are? I'm assuming there is a maintence fee. What about power? i assume it takes power as well, but just curious about that and the rates. Thanks in advance!

Quoted fromPawlin on the Architect forum:

"Factories require 1200 credits and 50 energy units per hour of use. When a factory is not in use it does not use power."

Well, depending on the power you use, it takes like 50cr/hour to maintain, plus you need like maybe 1000 credits of maintainence in the machinery to re-deed the factory if you want to dismantle and use it at another time.

And you can't use a regular generic crafting tool, you need a weapon/droid/generic crafting "tool" and I believe along with the weapon/droid/generic crafting "station".

Ive been doing this for a couple of months, saw one on the bazaar. As a CH I use 300 or more trapps a month so I usually have a crate or two in my backpack.
