I apologize in advance if you don't like sale requests in your professionforum, but the trade and galaxy boards have given me no help.

I'm an old-time BE who's looking to secure a supply of meat in bulk. I'm not too particular about quality right now, as I'm just trying to finish off my mastery. However, once I'm there, I'd love to have a trading partner who can provide me with choice cuts.

Have you tried asking for help in the RIN? If not, next time you log in connect to the RIN (Ranger Information Network) and see if someone there can help you out. If you have any questions about connecting to the RIN post it here and someone will be able to help you.

I'm embarassed to say it, but I don't know what the RIN is or how to connect to it. (And I'm a fledgling Ranger too.) Can someone point me in the right direction?

No need to be embarassed. Its quite easy actually.

Go to your swg chat window and right click on one of your tabs (group chat, guild chat, etc.). From the menu select "join channel", from the new window select radiant, select chat, select RIN. Once you select RIN click the "join" button on the left and you should be done. If you have done everything correct you should now have a "RIN" chat tab on your chat window.

Note: You will have to do this every time you log in to access the RIN.

I hope this helps. I am doing this from memory so some of the tab names will be slightly different but you should be able to figure it out.

I have a question for you Dragon. I have implimented this on Eclipse. How to you keep the channel once the owner has logged out?

I've logged out and the channel I created still stayed live. Most of the time other people create a new RIN channel when one doesn't exist.

wow, if the channel stayed up, you was lucky. Maybe they stealth-fixed that. We had 20+ people on it last night when I logged, hehe, hope it stayed or they might have gotten a bit miffed

as well as the above instruction by Dragonfly. Once you have your (RIN) tab made you can now go to your spatial tab right click it and choose modify tab. Now you'll see everything in spatial on the right and seperate tabs/channels on the left. Just choose RIN and use the right arrow button to move it over to your spatial tab.
What this does is allow you to monitor the chat as well as speak there from one chat window. Instead of being blind to everything else while in RIN. There may be a better way to speak in RIN than the way I do it but just type /rin.
