Thread: Where the #*$% are the new Ranger Traps?????
Hasn't it been long enough? Have we forgotten about these?
You know....
The Static traps that creatures run over...
The combat Hunting blinds...
all promised by the devs long ago....
Seems like I can't find any mention of them in our "state of the profession" guide...
Well I'm here to say... where the hell are they?
-= Zarn the silent grumpy ranger
Nevermind...
I'm a blind idiot... was looking at the wrong wishlist...
still...
Where the heck are they in dev terms?
Hey XionLion, long time no see. ![]()
We are still waiting for new systems that were detailed in the August post...
- Though parts ofthe new trap and camp systems are sitting on GreenMarine's machine, awaiting a time when he can finish them.

As we all know, the Powers That Be mandated that they would have Player Cities, Mounts, and Vehicles in the game within six months of launch...
- Since GreenMarine was in charge of Player Cities, he had to drop everything to get them up and working.
And of course, they still are not up to snuff as yet... So he is still working on them. ![]()
The greatest irony here is that, for a true Scout/Ranger, anything city related is of the absolute least importance to them
Either the devs or some almighty power somewhere, most definitely has a sense of humor because our dev has been busy working hard on the thing most of us care the least about lol.

Yes, but when he is finished there he goes to Smugglers. In addition, with he new combat changes we may not see ANY changes for another 6-8 months!
Unless, TH has told you something NRaas that we dont't know. ![]()
"Yes, but when he is finished there he goes to Smugglers."
Yep, that is the plan. ![]()
Though I hope he can sneak some additionsforus while he is working on those other professions. ![]()
"So basically, we are gonna be waiting a pretty good while before we see any of the changes then?"
As far as I know, we have a while to wait until the developers to cycle back to us. ![]()

So true! Rangers are a state of mind. It took a few other professions and activities, including helping pull together a city populace (Tian Bay, Corellia, Eclipse) for me to realize I'm a Ranger at heart. Out went the political stuff, and with it the great desire to live and work only in the city

I don't know about that. The Ranger Pass from July really is what started me on this journey. I think the fact that the profession had a major overhaul and got stuff fixed well before others is a testament to how SOE works. They can't do it all at once. And honestly, I can't fault them for deciding the Cities and Mounts would sell more boxes at the holidays than static Ranger traps.
Wow. Could I be more of a Fanboi?!
Oh, and I still want Stasis trap to turn mobs into trophies. I'm not a hunter in real life, but I'd play one on TV
Eclipse eh? Come with the rest of us Rangers to Antaria, be in the field when you're athome too

Fun place, and lucrative business opportunities, but I'd rather be out in the field.
...snip it, snip it good...
Hehe, yes, you have no idea now often I've lamented being unable to join your groups. I'm on your mailing and masstell list (and joining RIN even just to lurk), but have been traveling alot lately, so only ingame for short spurts (most convenient nowadays since radioactive spawned 500m from my vendor
Things are calming down though, and I got some hunting in two nights ago, to remind me why I'm a Ranger
