First, i just want to say that the whole Holo craze thats been going on has fuled this post. It may be off topic, but hear what i'm saying and i think you all will understand....

Let me start by saying that I'm a huge star wars fan, and to go look at the Jedi forum, and see everyone who has their FS slot complain that is a huge disapointment is because they expected it to be an uber class that owns everyone. They figure they grinded and grinded so they expected to be handed the ultimateprofession in which everything comes to you on a silver platter.

It's like people see unlocking their FS slot asthe last possible thing left to do in the game. So they think they should ultimately bethe mostpowerful class at everything they do. When they realize its going to take alot of time, they start complaining and saying that its a waste of time, tedious, boring, and so on.This made me pretty dissapointed, not because i'm thinking playing as a Jediwill be boring, and tedius, and a waste of time.....but dissapointedbecause as a star wars fan, i would love to be able to role play a Jedi.

We have had many posts about this in the past, but us rangers are playing this profession not because its the best, or most powerful, or an uber class that can own everything and everyone.....but because we like the idea of being a ranger. I think its fair to say that if we apply the same thought to being a Jedi, it would make the profession so much more meaningful.

i agree totaly i want to play a jedi, same as you, but right now, i am having way to much fun as a master rifleman master ranger! i find nothing more fun than stalking the backwoods of dathomir, where none dare to tread, hunting the most dangerous prey in the galaxy. i can sneek past nightsisters, hunt anchent bull rancor, its a blast!

And therein lay the problem: the "power gamers" are the ones that get the slot first. When a TRUE RP'er gets one in a few months from now (probably stumbling across it rather then using a Holo) maybe this will change. The kids will have left the game by then.
