Thread: NERF TAILORS!

I started this in another thread, but I think we need to make it it's own topic. I basically said Nerf Tailors! JB piped up with the following:

I am getting on this band wagon. Or nerf wagon.

We get the hides, we should be able to make rudimentary clothes out of them. Sorta like Fred and Barney, but with smaller buttons. No ties, tho, I hate ties.

Why should Tailors get all the power?

Nerf the tailors

Why should tailors be able to make clothes? They completely control the market on tailoring. That just isn't fair! I also think they should get terrain negotiation since they have to go out in the wilderness for stuff. They should also get to be able to camp (even though it will be worthless soon) since they can make the canvas for the tents.

I also think they are too powerful in PvE. I have seen them take down a Rancor with only the help of a Doctor. Flames shot out of a wierd device that this tailor held, and set the Rancor on fire. Tailors should not be better at killing stuff than BH!

Do you know how funny it would be to post these in their forum!? You would probably be able to hear their collecting jaws dropping. Oh and if you really want some fun... run over to the Combat Medic (my old char used to be one) and start a thread about nerfing CM and how it is totally overpowered. Your thread might get locked, but you can usually get a really good show. But that is mean!

I have gotten to the point that I won't go to any forum other than Ranger and the occasional stop by Scout. My server forum if populated by 3 year olds who refuse to post anything helpful and hijack every thread. And I think the CH nerf threads have it every forum but here. I may have to put link on the tailor forums...if only I could make links work right.

Nerf them all! Every artisan! We can do everything ourselves. I want my loin cloth, my rancor hide for armor (maybe a krayt), a stick with a stone on the end plus my slingshotto kill with, my lean-to to live in, and big uber melons!

Okay fine you say well what about the DEs. Well I don't care about them, because a droid doesn't effect me. So they can stay as they are. Besides why do I want something that beeps every 5 secs wandering around behind me? I already have a bol that whines every 5 secs.

Ha! This stuff is fantastic. Anyway everyone have a good hunt!

I dunno, as funny as these may seem I wouldn't do it. Tailors really haven't had it any better than rangers as far as new stuff since release. They've gotten I think 3 new chef clothing items which rarely sell, and at the same time have gotten nerfed with loss of experimentation, and new vendor limitations imposed which will really hurt. And their forum, like the others, do actually have people constantly calling for nerfs. Like giving customers the ability to color their own clothing etc. They've also gone through 4 correspondents I believe, and the new one is pretty much AWOL. Not a good idea unless you want a flame war. I doubt they'd see the humor in it.

Thankfully, I have no need for weaponsmiths...or tailors...

I run around in my underwear with a board with a nail stuck in it.

what really needs a good nerfing is novice medic...those guys are scary...

Better a newt than a Rasp....

Or perhaps it was really a Rasp JB was turned into. Perhpas that is the REAL underlying reason for his Rasp hatred. Maybe when he was turned, all the other Rasps made fun of him....

Nope, it was a newt, I am sure.

And if you did not get the movie reference, you are sadly lacking in practical education.
