Thread: How much can you harvest in a session?

Just curious cuz someone was asking me for like 70k of meat to grind with and I thought "are you crazy?". He kept talking like he needed a lot and quick (holo grinder I assume). Once I told him I could get maybe 5k over the weekend he was gone, prolly looking for the next scout/ranger. So I am wondering how much can one harvest in let's say a 4 hour hunting session? That's how long I average anyway, if you play longer on average then whatever, I am just curious as to what is possible.

Yes..I was told if I could quickly bring in about 10K of meat it will pay very very well. 10K! I play casual so I might collect 500 on a busy hunting night, less if just exploring. By my calculations I'll be in an "Old Ranger Home' before I get 10K. I put off collection orders. Just doesn't fit my play style. Good to see I am not the only one who feels this sway.

If all im doing is trying to harvest something, i /areatrack for the animals that drop it and then go to work killing them quick. In a 4 hour period, id say if i work REALLY hard i can get 15k (because im a also a bounty hunter so i can kill big things which means more meat)
Over one weekend of just wandering around yavin for no apperent reason and killing what i wanted i racked in about 12k of hide and 8k of meat. And thats lazy harvesting.

It depends largely on what is being hunted. If you're going after, say, Dathomir Carnivore Meat, you'll harvest a lot faster than if you're after, say, Naboo Herbivore. You'll get more meat per kill in the first case and spend less time looking for prey.
On the other hand, if someone asks for Talusian Wool or Tatooine Avian, the proper reply is "...and the kaadu you rode in on". Unless you like the idea of trying to harvest thousands of units 10 or less at a kill.
Solo, on an advanced world, hunting a resource type that drops off several types of good-sized creatures, you should be able to pull 3-5K resources per hour depending on the breaks. Less if you need to kill smaller creatures, or if only one type drops the resource, or if you're hunting on a core world.

I once kept track. I busted butt, totally and completely and harvested whatever I saw. Hides off what I knew dropped big hide, meat off the meat droppers, and darn little bone. If it moved, I harvested it. Or looted it in some cases.
At the end of 3 freaking insane hours - I had 10k total of various meats. 12k total of hides. 2k bones. 7700 credits. Many stupid disks, 4 treasure maps, a ton of crap weapons and clothes. One crystal.
And I had basically shot out a pistol, used up 2 crates of powerups (20) and used about a crate of stims (25 uses per- 10 per crate).
Was it worth it. No way. What did I make off the deal 5cpu average?
I stick by my mission, harvest - get paid twice theory.
You want a big load of resources, hire more people.

I'm a 4 0 4 1 scout working toward ranger. Solo, I can pull down about 20k meat or hide in about 3 hours. Grouped is about 12k (providing the group can hunt fast enough to keep up with me). This is on and adventure planet. You can't do this crap on corellia.
I'm actually putting off the rest of the work toward ranger for now because I have a contract for 150k leathery hides. We have the first good spawn on leathery in a long time.

depending on what im hunting...
for example, 3 days average 3 hrs maybe 4, i harvested 30k hides from bantha...easy to kill and made leveling up tka really easy

I harvested 60k of carnivore meat from Endor in about 4 hours of play.

Tomo, Caiden and I did a run (2 days... or was it 3?) and collected 150k bones, 40k insect (give or take a few k) and some 15k Carnivore meat (I just sold that stuff finally on the bazaar, after 2 weeks on the Hunter's Hollow Mall just sitting there).
I seem to remember getting a lot of hides too... and some loot drops (still have some).

i remember this guy who could harvest 150k meat in an hour and 80k hides, he goes about 8' 10'' ....325 pounds. once saw him kill a rancor with his bare hands, good ole Bill Brasky.

Pikets on Dantooine - I can get about 2-3k in an hour, solo. About 1.5k if grouped because it tends to go slower.
But for me, the meat never lasts long enough to stack it up to 10-20k. I usually sell most of it during the night on the Coronet bazaar.
That's the quickest way on Dantooine. I'm sure you can probably get more on Lok or Endor.
Oh, and I'm using TKA, too. If that makes a difference.

Since my ranger is also a tka, I get buffed and do enraged rancors. In 3 hours I'll have somewhere between 10 to 20k meat or hide, and I'll have about 1 or 2 million creds.
