Thread: Area Track Animation is Dumb looking

Ok I am sorry but having seen Nemo0 use area track and myself in the past...
The animation is so dumb... Placing your hand to your forehead and scanning the area... in a radar like fasion...
I know this is kind of a Moot and useless post... but man it needs to be changed
I say the tracking animation needs to be changed to you guys pulling out of your back pockets a Scanner like the one Han used in Empire Strikes Back on Hoth...
Then area track would not look so silly and it would reflect the Star Wars universe a bit more than the Old fashion Slaute Radar trick..
Ok this is not a Petition.. so dont sign it... this is just a Personal gripe with one of the rangers special abilities Animations..
Oh Armorsmiths have tossed out some intersting suggestions in their fourm... you folks may want to take a look at the post titled Hide Farms

its kind of an intersting read right now... Maybe a few ideas for some ranger changes could come from it...

awww, I think the animation is cute... its a good one to use along with an emote for some laughs. They could have easily given us the same animation as forage and some text saying we check the ground for tracks. /boring
Besides, if it had us take out some sort of scanner device /areatrack would have to work a whole lot better for people to buy it. lol

The areatrack animation is a bit silly. Many Rangers have complained about it already. But I do like the idea of looking like Han while doing it
. As for the Armorsmith post, we've seen plenty of threads like that before. Most Rangers would prefer a harvesting rate increase. We do like to hunt. It's just that we get almost no bonus for the skill points. The fact is, we should be able to supply the crafters with the needed organics. There should be no need to rely on synthetics or farms to get them (not to mention the database space problems they would cause). The easy solution is to just up our pulls. Farms and such would only devalue the resources of those Rangers who don't want to bother with harvesters. While it would be nice to get the extra resources for free, I'd rather get 10 times the current amount from actually hunting.

How about something like kneeling down and checking the ground for tracks or whatever...
Aragorn checking the area for traces of the Hobbits in TTT comes to mind
