Thread: Does anyone else miss...
But seriously, I understand why they did it. Currently everyone starts off at level 1 around Eisley. If kreetles were aggro, even at CL1, they're going to cause real trouble for the players doing the starting quests around the city. I'm sure most of us have seen the pacifist Tuskens around there too

I'm no fancy, big-city sociologist, but I think you just hit on the underlying cause of this new brand of Ranger angst we've all been suffering from. Sure, aside from the CL bonuses we were completely ignored during the CU. Sure, a lot of our traps don't work, and the one that's scheduled to be fixed is the one that works too well. Sure, we have the highest skillpoint cost of any elite profession, but lack the skills and abilities that should accompany such a cost. But this is all business as usual-- we will continue to trudge along, hoping that the revamp will revitalize us. (It worked for Ponce de Leon, right? After he found the found the fountain of youth, everything was peachy. Wait, he died a raving madman from fever, and never found the fountain. Bad example.)
That said, the CU took something vitalfrom us. It took away our MYTHOLOGY. The dastardly kreetle was an important part ofRanger mythology. Poems and songswere written about it.Unrelenting war was waged upon it.And respect was given to it. And now the kreetle is a nonentity. The loss of the kreetle could change our culture in ways we're not prepared for. This, combined with the shift away from real hunting and towards mission terminal hunting, could very well mean the eradication of our way of life.
The SOE wasichus will pay. Be afraid, palefaces.
