Thread: Rifleman versus Bounty Hunter
I find that BH is ok for Pv Creature, weaker in Pv NPC and totally weak in Pv Player.
I can solo any creature with traps and my specials. NPCs, really anything above level 80, tend to beat on me. I seldom PvP, but lack of specials would kill me there.

I was BH with the rifles line. Then I got the Proton Carbine as quest item and switched to the Carbine line for the Rapid Fire.
I was a Ranger/Rifleman until CU. Respec'd to BH to try out the weapons. Not sure which I like better as I don't PvP at all. But thinking about going back to Rifleman for the range and the conceal shot. Plus I just got one of the ranged arms so it looks like I might go back to rifles.

I decided to do BH. Someone informed me that a lot of people pick up some squad leader with that. I was wondering if anyone has done this, and if so what skill boxes did you get?
If I was to do that I would go with the Tactics line for the ranged accuracy and speed or the Strategy line for defense.
Go to bloodfin.org and check out the Profession calculator, you will see what I mean.

They typically take the 0300 SL for a total of +40 to both Melee and Ranged Defense. Novice SL gives you +10 General Ranged Accuracy and +5 General Ranged Speed so that doesn't hurt either.
I was thinking this too, but those stats gained from 0300 can be compensated for with food and drink I believe. 0003 seems best because those mods are not as easily compensated for. Perhaps I'm wrong, I'll check out the template builder.
