Asides from fixing the effects so they actually do what they say on the can...
1. Seperate trapping timer from combat timer. Put them on seperate so traps can be thrown simultaneously with weapons fire (albeit on their own timer).
2. Give Master Rangers the ability to create 'trap packs'. A 'Master level' trap that can hold 3 or 4 individual traps and will give a chance to applyeach states at the normal chance simultaneously. This will allow us to actually be 'the master of creature hunting' which we are supposed to be.
At least it would be a step in the right direction... Nerfing the only thing that works to a positive effect isn't.

I don't know about the other guys who have been a ranger longer then me, but I like both those ideas. It would be nice if someone would listen to them, keep em coming.

Also like both of the ideas, but I prefer number one. Either that or speed up the throw animation so we wont be rooted for so long.
On the topic of traps, I would very much like to see more of these viable when solo hunting, but the problem would be that they very easy would be overpowering in a group.

Only over powering to creatures and most creatures do not get affected by traps even one level higher than your trapping ability.
I would like to add one....A trap that works on NPC and PC. We can track the people down but when we get to them there is not much we can do.

I dont have troubles trapping any animals so far. Trapped all kinds of krayts, gorax, all kinds of kimos and tons of regular creatures. I love my traps and I use them all the time!
Only creature I can say I have serious troubles trapping are dewbacks, I dont know why but Im seriously starting to hate these buggers..
Edited for typo's

thats why I have one as a pet. LOL
Those are my primary hunting creatures. They give out great scout Xp. and are not that hard to take out and if you shoot one then they all dont argo on you. (except cannibal dewback)

Been hunting tons of these dewbacks for the last 2-3 days, nice hide spawn on Bloodfin, and I seriously hate these creatures. None of my traps stick at a decent rate at all. And poptarts break all the time no matter what happens, only on dewies though.
And about the group agro, I've noticed some of the other kinds, especially lesser ones, >sometimes< get double agro if they are standing too close to eachother when I start firing, like 5m and closer. Either way Im done with hunting those for a while, thank the maker.
But abit back on topic, I still think we need a boost on most of our debuff traps. According to my testing, posted here earlier, you will actually most of the time loose damage by throwing a glow wire or sonic pulse if your solo. And to me ranger is more of a solo type proffesion, wandering the wilds living of the nature and so on.
But then again if we get too high trap boosts they would be overpowering in groups I think. One solution might be too lessen the effect of certain traps the bigger the group, but thats only a few thoughts Im kicking around my twisted little head right now.
