Until Publish 20, which is rumored to have a 'fix' for trapping, the only way you'll be able to do it is the way you know you'll have to already. Regain that Novice Scout, get the +5 to trapping, snarf some Dweezil, get the +21 to trapping, and then lose all those combat skills until you're down to where CL26 mobs are at least green to you. That's it. Sorry to say.

The only other way is to use the respec token, or wait.

Well, you have 3 options that I am aware of; none of them are acceptable.

1. Drop your combat level to the level of what you can successfully land traps on (I know...).

2. Respec Token

3. Wait for the fix that may or may not make it into publish 20 (or 21, or 22...).

*a small tear drops from eye* So what your saying is, is im not allowed to rejoin the ranks of my true comrades and the only reason left for me to stay here in SWG? ..........

OK, we feel your pain, honestly we do.

From countless other posts on this subject in the Ranger and Scout forums your options are:


1) Use your token respec if you still have it.

2) Drop your CL down to a point where, with the use of good dweezel (and boy are some chefs selling seriously cr&p stuff. It's the boost to trapping we need, not number of doses or duration... oy oy oy) you can at least stick traps on the majority of something.

THEN:

Group up with people who are no higher in level than your new 'enhanced' trapping level, get missions, let them do the killing and you do NOTHING but trap. Don't shoot, or the XP will be split against weapons XP. Don't heal or it'll get messed up with medic XP (even when you don't get the **** medic XP as you're already capped on that, ouch) Do nothing but trap.

Once you get back up to master scout / novice ranger and a TL of 50, retrain in whichever combat skills you dropped down to reduce your CL.

(Personally I'd drop as much of ranger, scout and any non-essential combat lines, like spare bits in marksman that you don't use the prof above before touching any of your 'core' skills. Even then I'd make sure it was the weapon XP based ones that I cut into before the combat XP based lines so as to be able to level back up 'easier')

3) Wait till there's a fix.


Beyond that? Dunno.

Thank you fellow Rangers for all of your advice and trying to help me out, I would have definantly done the same for any of you if you were in my position, so i guess im off to become a lvl 20 somethin....*sigh* hopefully someday ill be a Ranger again, untill then, watch out for my noobieness and i hope it doesnt get anyone killed lol

Get a trapping droid. It replaces your trapping modifier.

I'm the only ranger left in my ranger guild....master ranger...if the guild leader stops being a ranger then I guess all is lost in a ranger guild.

too bad your on starstrider or ide join in a second once i retain my ranks of being a Master Ranger i will then bring the Antarian Ranger's back alive on Radiant server, they deserve it and i hope i will be able ot recruit people
