I might be wrong but in order to become a master ranger one must first know the ENTIRE scout training? Then once you learn all the scout training you have enough points left to master all the ranger training specs...this can not be right?

So a Ranger will know all the Ranger specs along with all the Scout specs and still have points left over for rifle training???

I can not figure out the way points are spent for the scout/ranger.

Master Scout+ 77 points

Master Ranger+ 63 points

Noviice Riflemen+ 29 points (or any other novice Non-Hybrid combat Prof.)

Master Riflemen + 63 points (Or any other Master Non-Hybrid combat Prof.)

Master Ranger+Master Riffle = 232 points

You have 250 to spend Works out Pretty well, you can even get novice Artisan or medic if you want it =D

Yes you must master scout before you can open ranger.

You will have enough skill points to master scout, ranger, full master one weapon profession (TKA for example), and still have a few points left over. The following link is to a good charchter builder.

I think with the left over points, I will throw it into learning pistols in the marksman skill tree. Wish first aid was already a ranger skill as having some sort of healing would be nice to be able to be self sufficient as a ranger should be, but from what I have read, rifleman take alot more damage from mobs/npcs once they are up close and personal and you are still firing away at them with a rifle even though they are now toe to toe. Either we need to see first aid be included in the scout/ranger skill trees or we need to see a form of toe to toe fighting included. I am almost tempted to master pistoleer instead of rifleman, but that's not very rangerish and regaurdless of how well the ranger class works, I intend to be a ranger
