I'd say I act more like one of the bums that hangs out in chicago. I kind of smell. I'm brokeass. I have a home but its made out of metal, bones and hide. And after almost 2 years I still haven't been invited to join a guild. I think it's the smell.

I try to act like Aragorn most of the time. I tend to spend time in dangerousplaces harvesting resources, and tracking dangerous creatures and NPC's. I just recenty got back into the GCW as aRebel. The down side to that is most of my friends are Imperial .On the up side I dont have to look far for good PvP.

we harvest, we track, we throw traps, we camo, we run up hills and we rescue

some of those we do well, like harvesting and running up hills (unless you're carrying a sidearm)

other things are either not working as intended or have no clear benefit during hunting.

but... most master rangers dont become rangers for the combat viability (well, if they do, they soon leave) most are rangers because we enjoy hunting and being explorers.

so yah. we act like aragorn, but we dont have any of his skills.

Can't say that I act like Aragorn (well, except for the occasional tracking thing); then again, none of my guildies treat me like I'm a king, either.... Of course, I tend to separate that character into two different men-Aragorn was the leader of men, the respected one, people listened to him.

STRIDER, on the other hand, was a loner, sat quietly in a corner, and was more than up to the task of leading a small band of hobbits across hostile territory to a safe haven. Now, THAT I can relate to in-game; one time on Kash one of my guildies managed to get himself stuck in Kkowir, and kept getting killed by the Shadevale venomstings and their variants. I was able to go right in there, kill the venomstings, and get him back to Kachiro. To be fair, though, most of that had to do with CL and a big gun more than my ranger skills, but it certainly felt like the kind of thing a Ranger WOULD do.

By your definitionI act the most like Strider. If I'm in a city at all im usualy grabbing a mission, launching to space or tracking a bounty. If we had Striders skills Ranger would be the most common profession in the game.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Being a Master Ranger does gives you alot of credibility with established crafters.

I acted as a resource broker, for a time.

I would take contracts for a large quauntity of a specific resource and then find guild friends and others to harvest it. I paid them what I was getting paid to sell it, so no profit for me. However, I got a huge amount of satisfaction when I realised that I had personally sold 4+ million units of one particular resource
