Thread: areatrack and dynamic spawns
1. I have run for hours on dathomir and not seen any type of mob on my radar or with areatrack. (probably due to low weapon skill, i'm MCH as well as Master Ranger)
2. There have been times on tatooine when i do an areatrack and nothing shows up but when i take 2 more steps, things spawn all over and usually on top of me.
3. when scouting an area ahead of the main group i get low level spawns, when the group catches up the higher level stuff spawns without warning.
areatrack seems to only work well for me in high pc traffic areas and not at all in remote locations, are the dev's working on this(do they even know about it) or is this the way it will always be ?
It's hard to be an advance scout with the dynamic spawns working the way they do.
Yes, /areatrack is flawed regarding dynamic spawns...
The command only lists creatures that actually exist in the game space at the time you perform the operation.
- It does not list spawn points that have not spawned off any creatures yet.
It has been suggested that /areatrack be allowed to track the spawn points, in addition to existing creatures.
- There has been no visible activity regarding changing the command at this time however.
Have the devs acknowledged that this is a problem or atleast promised to look into it ?
"Have the devs acknowledged that this is a problem or atleast promised to look into it ?"
The developers are extremely busy and can onlyacknowledge a pittance of the issues we bring up. ![]()
The issue was in the last Top 5 report, so it's a good possibility that the problem is known. ![]()
