Now that I've hit Master and acquired a few contacts who are always looking for specific resources, I can easily make 100k a day, without running missions. I'd say that if I liquidated right now I'd be worth over half a million, and I've been spending most of my time leveling TK skills and hanging out in Tusken's Bane, not hunting.

Ok, long time Rangers. How many credits have you been able to acquire over the months hunting and harvesting. I don't want to be a Ranger all my life, Bounty Hunter calls and then its slave to the Holocron, but I'd like to build a nice nest egg so I don't have to worry about money for a long long time. How much do you think Isave?

dath insect meat (petstim C's) can fetch 30cpu. I went for a hunt on dath, picked up some 5k cred missions for shear mites, and whupped the tar out of any insects I saw with my jawa ion rifle and /strafeshot2. I pulled about 6k meat pretty quickly (unfortunately, /areatrack did nothing to help, other than the harvest bonus).

if you find good meat, and a good buyer, you'll make as much as you want.

other options?

yav wooly (mamiens). lokian leathery (gurks and kimos). both adv padded components.

recluse gurk king hides (uncommon, but worth plenty to the right armorsmith).

avian meat. herbivore meat. docs want it by the bushel.

want to save some time? do a galaxy-wide bazaar search to find high stats on meat/hide/bone BEFORE you leave home. find a buyer FIRST, and harvest what they need at a price you can both agree on.

ranger alone won't do much more than increase the harvest/corpse. you'll still need considerably combat skills to make those corpses.

/areatrack has a harvest bonus? First I've heard of that, but then again I've only been a Ranger for 5 days.

I'm torn about the 'have a customer first' idea. I once had a 10k contract @ 15cpu. Then someone offered me that price plus 4 Krayt tissue. I didn't feel like starting a bidding war, since I did already have a contract. I went with the original contract (since I'm a professional) but I felt like I was getting the short end of the stick. Yes, I could have hunted another 10k, but it was avian meat and we know how that is a pain to hunt (small creatures, less harvest per hour). I feel now that I'll hunt and see who wants to buy later.

Net worth - 1.3 million creds in the bank, 3 droids (2 r5 units, 1 probot), a pet something (nerfed and useless), a mount (kaduu, goes potty all over), 2 houses -small generic, 2 wind generators, 2 mineral harvestors, 1 chem harvestor, a decent craft machine, a load of furniture, a bunch of weapons - say 250k worth minumum (all pre-patch except for the Republic Blasters), couple of double crystals, more clothes than I can wear, and a swoop bike. In the craft machine is at least 30k in hides, 5k in bones, 10k in meat, and I got no clue how much metal, poly, fiber, etc. It's just there.

I make about 10k per two regular missions, solo, or 6k for 2 rebel missions (cheap skates those rebels).

I gotta figure that after the Christmas Holo giveaway and all the grinders, I am gonna make a killing selling hides/bone/meat and metals to the wannabes.

Remember, get paid twice, take a mission and harvest - sell the harvest. Ka-ching.
