1. Do they work better than maskscent?/Are they broken?

2. Can a wayfaring 1 ranger use dathomir camo kits made by master rangers?

Thanks

No, they're not broken and they do work better than maskscent. But you have to level a bit for them to work well.

You can use them but your camoflage mod is so low it'd get snapped quickly.

I would ace more squadrons if they'd just fix the remaster bug.

Thanks for the input, would they be of worthwhile effectiveness if I made it to wayfaring 3 so I'd have +80(?) camo plus camo mod clothing +25? And can anyone clue me in to how much better camo is than mask scent? Thanks

Yes the +80 will do much better. At lower levels its not better against animals, but it is the only way to sneak past NPC's. Remember it can do that, opposed to mask scent.

I read from NRaas once that mask scent is 95% effective, and conceal is 98% effective. Hope that answers teh question.

Conceal works pretty well, once you get up there a bit. It lets you sneak past agro NPC. I remember teh first time I walked up to three Tusken Warlords and staired them in the face. It can also be applied to other people, which can be helpful.

With my bothan bonus, and clothes that give me +28 mod, my camo is about +135.I can run across Dath or Endor, with almost no problems from of agro's if I'm using camo kits.

The mod from your clothes is only +25. That's the max bonus regardless of what the modifiers add up to.

Camo can work better then maskscent. There are days when it rules, but for some unknown reason there are days when neither seem to work no matter what you do. Yes camo is usable against NPCs as long as they don't have a turret that can detect you no matter what you do. Tracking is good when it works right. There times that it is just amazing and really helpful, and then there are days when once again for no apparent reason it doesn't seem to work at all. No until you get to a higher level the Dathomir camo kit will not work well on you, unless you have a fellow ranger with a higher rank apply it. This is a very distinct advantage over maskscent. Maskscent can only work for the player that has learned it. It does not work on NPCs. Camo does work for those who do not have the skill even if they do not have the maskscent as long as it is applied by a ranger who has the skill. And it does work well in most NPC situations. I am not sure it will work if your faction standing is -5000. I believe they will spot you once you enter their check range and aggro on you immediately.
