Thread: Giant Canyon Krayt Dragon
So, I just got back onto my server after an extended vacation...something seems a bit different about the good ole KD's...giant one's now, huh? 450K ham? 70% resistance for just about everything? Must have been upgraded while I was gone, huh?
I took a group out to hunt today...and 1st of all...they were tough to find...tougher than usual...and 2nd, while it took us a ton of time to kill one....they didn't even tip the good Ranger for spending plenty of time trying to track one...and then finally finding one for them.
What gives?

There are some people who will do this to you. The best solution is to not take them again and let us know who they are and on what server they play. Then we will be very cautious to agree to anything with them. We don't like it when our fellow rangers are treated in this manner.
I took a guy last night to hunt for Frenzied Grauls. He said he would tip me, and asked if that was ok. I love helping people, so I agreed. He was looking for baby FG. Since I am a Master CH as well as a Master Ranger I was very interested in it as well. So we met out near the lakes near the Crystal Cave. I turned on a few markers I had where good graul hunting could be found along with some FS NPC on Dantooine. We set out and found 3 lairs through my track. We never did get a baby and we also killed 5 FS NPCs as we continued to look. At 1:30 am PT I needed to go to bed to get to work the next day. The player was very generous and tipped me 5k for my efforts. Said he hoped we could link up again, and I said I would enjoy that. The guy was curtious, partnered well in the fights and respected my efforts. I will take this guy anytime he wants to go and will recommend him to fellow rangers if they ask.

True...and don't let me make it out like I have never ran across any groups like the guy you mentioned. Thankfully there have been more 'good' hunts than 'bad' ones in may time as ranger. It just seems like the bad ones are coming more often...and like I just said on the kettemoor server forum...I was thinking about it as I was lagging behind on my cheap (Ranger<>good$$$) speeder...while a month ago I was able to run ahead of a hunting party and let them know when to turn right or left to avoid danger. Made things work out cool. Now I can barely keep up with the whipper snappers and their little speeders....bitching about where are all the dragons? Can't you find one or what?
Know what I mean
I have also been out to the Graveyard 3 times recently and not seen ANY there as well. Not only did they increase their toughness, but rarity as well I assume.
Well, I also noticed that there is no more junior with mom KD's out there...at least not that I have seen.
Also, I have only found them on the left ridge of the valley/graveyard...actually just over the left ridge. Haven't found any piles of bones though or at least I have been too busy running from the big guy today to look.
Check your Datapad POI tab for the Krayt Skeleton... its north of Wayfar. That is sort of on the Southern part of the dune sea. I have found many of them in the past near this skeleton and north into the dune sea.
Thanks, sounds like a good place to start checking out...haven't had the opportunities to check out many POI's yet since the datapad was updated. Maybe I can introduce a few groups into coming out this way instead of making the long run into the graveyard...kinda breaks up the hunt a little.
Thanks again....

a group i was with found some over the west ridge of the graveyard just above the kryat oasis
my 2 credits worth
I had good luck before the recent patch finding krayts about 6km or so northeastish of Mos Entha, which I do not believe was actually in the graveyard. There was a spot, at least on Gorath, pretty close to a burned out sandcrawler out that way that was forever spawning krayts. It was good fun and there seemed to be plenty of krayts to choose from at that spot.
I was also lucky as a master ranger to stumble across a client who wanted me to track krayts for him. He gave me 100k a trip for this, of which I was extremely happy. I think I gave him a good service for the money as we found lots of krayts on the couple of outings we did. I got lots of pistoleer xp to boot. And even though I didn't come across any good loot in tissues or scales from the harvesting of the corpses, I would have given him the stuff, as I was really just a "mercenary" at that time. He was a good guy too. We haven't been hunting out there since the patch though.
