Thread: Ranger crafted clothing?

Hey I am just trying to see if anyone else thought of this one: Why not allow Master rangers to craft a type of Guille suit? For those that don't know a Guille suit is an item snipers use in real life to conceal themselves. Possible something we could craft that we could use ourselves or sell to other players to help increase thier chances of not being detected in battle, by players especial but also in PvE. Just a thought being that I've never had Conceal work PvP. Respond with your thought maybe Devs will like it

Is that like the clothing, camo wear you see in war and war games that include snipers, where there is bush and shrubbery stuff hanging from it, so as to blend in forest areas?

If you read the post regularly, I recently posteda thread about the Ranger Idetity Crises. In that, I suggested that while using a camo kit, other players couldn't auto-target you in any way. In other words, they'd have to manually target you. What would be nice is if while under the protection of a camo kit, you had the animation of a Guille suit or something like it, rather than adding a NEW craftable item. When you makea camo kit, you are crafting an item and applying it to yourself(or someone else), it would make sense that something that uses so much meat, hide and bone would actually appear on your body, rather than dissapear mysteriously into the air. Players could still see you on their radar, but since they'd have to manually target you, being less visable because of the camo kit would be useful. That's how I would implement it.

That would really be a great way to implement it! Make it so the camo, actually makes it a little harder to see you....

Tailors and Artisans make clothes and that's it. Devs will never allow anything else. Post this on the Tailor forum and see how bad you get flamed, LOL.

The Devs will not take away from the Tailor's means to make a profit. And that's the bottom line.

I asked for a ghillie about a hundred years (4 months) ago. Concensus was, Master Tailor crafted with parts only a Ranger could gather. Sounds like RIS armor, so maybe there is hope.

But as we complain, and rightly so, when other professions poach on our skills, we should not poach on the Tailors. To promote interdependence between the jobs, we should try andcome up with ideas that encourage classes to work together.

I remember that post JB! An addition to this: please make it wearable by wookiees.

If a wookiee dyes his fur with greens, blacks and browns, wouldn't he already have a natural ghillie suit?

Hehe. I always wondered why Bothans got a natural ghillie suit and we didn't. Maybe it's because we are 8 feet tall.

Anyway, that would make it an ID skill, instead of a tailor skill.

This idea has been brought up before, in various versions. Other then PvP, the /conceal command basically is a guille suit.

We have been asking about hiding from PvP players. Two things that are factors. They flat out said they will never make something in this game for players to be invisable. Secondly, you have to have a dot on the radar, otherwise you are not targetable, and that's not an option, especially for PvP.

One of the better ideas being discussed is this. If you are Overt and use a camo kit on yourself, you will now become a blue dot to everyone, of both factions. This way you can sneak up on them or surround them with out alerting them you are overt. Once you attack though you go red and normal PvP ensues.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
