Well, a huge thank you to all the advice you guys have given me and just posted here for me to read. It's been superb.
As of last night, my template is complete....
Master Scout
Master Ranger
Master Rifleman
4000 Marksman
1000 Medic
I am so delighted to have finally mastered Ranger, and whilst trapping experience was very easy, survival experience is something I never want to have to "experience" again! 
Honoured to join the ranks of Master Ranger.

Congrats! Now you need to be flaky like I am and change your combat Profession every month!
