Nothing should be infallible in game. Part of what you want in a game is the chance it will break. Which is why even camo falls under the case of walking, running, prone all making a difference to its effectivness. Now i dont think we should critical fail on camps or camo kits at master ranger (or any master crafter) but thats another post.

And as for the being invisable to PC's by using Camo. Im looking for Fred's post on stealth and will bump it.

Check the stickied "From Stealth to Camping" thread. It should be in there.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I'm not involved in the GCW much, but I agree. A Master Ranger should have a substantial chance of being radar-invisible--if not visually invisible--to the opponent. And I'd really appreciate it if kreetles would stop seeing through my master Mask Scent/camo, too. Little buggers and their crunchy little antennae.

I'm developing a spray can version, just for my Wookiee bretheren. It's coming along quite nicely.

The shampoo to remove it, though, is another matter entirely.

(Sorta related: In high school, I was in "Bye Bye Birdie" and played Albert's aging mother, which meant my hair needed to be gray. Powdering it didn't work, so they used this stage makeup stuff that I was told was meant for hair, though I have my doubts now. They basically rubbed this stick of clay-like stuff into my hair and all my curls [lots of them] so that from a distance, it was all gray. Up close, it looked like I'd had a horrible pottery accident. It was sticky and thick and took days to shampoo it all out. Every time I think of a Wookiee getting camo cream applied, I think about my head of faux-gray hair...)

Just a question for everyone...

Would camoflauge against creatures only be acceptable if it was 100% infalible?

My opinion here is no. If it 100% against creatures and NPC's I'd have to think about it, but I believe that Ranger will never be a viable profession with regards to the GCW without Radar Invisibility.

Other opinions?
