Thread: Ranger Stealth-The Solution!

I think some cool ideas have been proposed here tho; changing the color of your blip on the radar would be cool. Being able to remove your name and tag from above your head (only people targeting you can see your name and tag) could have some tactical advantages as well.

Seriously,I do like the idea... i think stealth definately needs to be added in some form or another... it just makes sense.

Calc, what kind of damage is your T21 doing that you would have to spam /headshot on a durni? If one /headshot doesn't do, you might want to check its condition or go get that thing sliced.

So we know (or am i making stuff up?) that radar invisibility will not happen because of game engine mechanics
I'm not quite sure why this wouldn't be possible. What's stopping the server from treating specific characters that are using a concealment skill from simply not delivering data packets that identify that character.
It's not the same issue as you have with eliminating the radar vs. packet sniffers, because the server has to send information about most player-characters so they can be identified visually, radar or no radar.
From my understanding, "screwing with the local files" is also how people speed hack, or dupe credits, etc.
