Thread: Alright, I know no one wants to hear this ... :)

I know the whole "I'm dropping ranger" post gets old .. and I never thought I'd see myself doing one .. but here goes.
This was the best community I think I've ever seen in any MMORPG, heck any game really. I really enjoyed being a ranger, and at times it brought a lot of fun for me. (And the payoff from nice organic shifts weren't too shabby either.)
I had quit the game for a few months to try Lineage 2, which was a dissapointment, and now I'm back to SWG until WoW comes out. I was pretty upset to return after like a 5 month break from SWG and see not a single change to ranger (except for making our camps even less usefull/needed.)Unfortunately the PVP bug has hit me so I'm going to have to drop ranger.
Don't know how many of you will remember me, but even if you do or don't, I salute you for staying ranger .. I'd like to say I want to return some day but I don't know if that will happen or not. Ahhh, dropping the camp XP boxes is going to be harsh.
Good luck to you all, you all deserve so much more than this development team is offering you.

Ranger is a lifestyle, not a profession. Don't be a stranger.

But I sure was looking for u on SSrecently when I was trying to join th Antarian Rangers. It seems that is the fate of the Antarian Rangers on SS. Always started by enthusiastic rangers only to be disbanded because ranger sucks is a lifestyle not a profession, and the Antarian Rangers would like to PVP or participate in the GCW (i.e. do something that the extended universe Antarian rangers would probably have done after the Clone Wars.) (I remember back in Set or Nov 03 when Ypiana started it and it quickly went defunct.)
Being that SWG was my first ever MMORPG, I didn't know the fun that could be had in PVP. Also being a ranger, I knew that engaging in PVP would leave me a lame sitting duck as a TKM cuz in numerous duels with friends I saw how gimped I really was. Thus I avoided PVP like the plague for months. Finally when PVE just got too boring for me I created a PVP-ready character on another server. I would have rather started from scratch than give up my rangerdom.Now I regret going that route. I missed out on alot of PVP with good friends who have since left the game... Oh well I'm babbling.. whatever.

Besides I cancelled my account. I think it expires on Sept 19. Hopefully the game will improve and I can re activate my account to a new and improved ranger.
