Thread: Did I just exploit??

I have been leveling Trapping in Ranger. The way I was doing it was getting buffed, eating mind food, donning my armor, and then heading to Dathomir. I find a solo baz nitch and unequip my pistol then let him chew on me while I toss traps at him. I was making several different types.

Tonight I was doing trapping IV and I noticed that the sonic pulse doesnt have a time limit on when you can use it again. So I made up a whole lot and found a giant baz nitch. I let him munch on my short and curlies while I tossed sonic pulse after sonic pulse. I got Trapping IV in less then 10 minutes.

While sitting in a camp I realized that not having a time limit might be an exploit. So anyone know if I just exploited the system? If I did then I need to go back and start over with alot of different traps instead.

it's the same with Glow-wire traps.

I would look at this tactic as an equivalent of the crafting "practice-mode" for trapping

Glow juice traps and wire mesh traps can be tossed one after another at a creature to gain xp.

Like I have not been caught standing on the balcony at an unnamed POI doing just this to sludgies?

Make 50 traps, throw 50 traps. Quick fast and easy XP. Without buffing and armor even.

No it is not an exploit, it is the way the traps are designed to work.
