Often find that I've killed someone while examining my inventory by a bazaar. Neat cos you can sell the loot immediately.

Hmm, I think I am liked by more npc/pc factions....

Imperials like me, apologise if they stop me for scans etc pp

I should have +5000 faction with:

Singing Mountain clan likes me (might be because I used to do genocide-like nightsister hunts in hope of decent polearm loot)
Jabbas guys like me too
Borvo's too
Hutt faction in general is also positive
"Townperson"
All the ewoks that hate the Jindas (I leveled fencer and 2x swordsman from novice to master in the Jinda cave)

Top-'haters' (-5000 faction) are:

Rebels
Nightsisters
Corsec Guys (I was one or two times to often on jabba corvette missions I guess )
Any kind of Gungans (They deserve to die just because of Jar Jar Binks )
Jindas (see above )


And the mercs running around dathomir science and trade outpost seem to hate me to, however I until now couldn't figure out which faction they belong to, when I kill them I get nothing telling me about factionloss/win in the chatwindow.

I have negative Jabba and Valarian... figure that out. Jawas hate me. Swoops hate me. Thugs and Drall delight in ambushing me. I am hated on most planets by about everyone.

Everyone else shoots at me, chases me, and ambushes me. Ok, I may have brought some of this on myself, taking countless missions and generally laying waste to NPCs. I know have no clue how come some things I have never ever hunted hate me however - Janta? Never. Mokk, rarely. The Endor Marauders, nope.

Keep in mind that you can gain and/or lose several faction types by killing certain NPCs (kill a townsperson and get positive faction in all the gangs on that planet). The way to get negative faction in two competing factions is actually fairly simple. You lose more faction from killing that faction than you gain by killing an NPC of the opposite faction. For example, if you kill Blood Razors on Lok, you lose their faction more quickly than you gain the faction back from killing Nym's peeps. It takes 2 or 3 more Nym's kills to gain back the Blood Razor faction you lost from killing a Blood Razor.

Just a show of hands, who else gets laughed at by people in your group as you draw incoming fire from 3 sides?

I generally have the same faction issues as the people I hunt with, but every now and then, we end up with a group mate that has the opposite 'bad faction' as we do. Nothing better than fearlessly walking through a group of Mokk and watching you group mate head for the hills becuase they all aggro him...

I guess I should work on some of this - but it does make the game more interesting at times.

Heh, I've ended up being fairly consistent with the NPC's who hate me and love me.

Jabba despises me (-5000 Jabba and Hutt faction)
Desert Demons hate me
Tuskens hate me
Thugs in general hate me
Nym's hate me (always interesting arriving and departing from Lok)
Pirates hate me
Canyon Corsairs (I think) lend me a hand
Lady Val loves me
Borvo too
Townspeople adore me
Jawas always help me out (going to the Tusken-vs-Jawa battle is always fun)
Swoopers love me (not sure why. Maybe cause of my kick-a@# bike)

I've really drawn the line with my NPC allies/enemies on the two planets I haunt the most (Tat and Lok) and I never really started out doing that. It just ended up that way. Sorta cool to be wandering around Tat, come upon some Desert Demons near a hermits camp and have the hermits running to help 'ya shouting 'Don't hurt my friend!'

Hehe, it's the little things like that that make this game fun.

An in-game list of the different faction interactions (who likes/hates who, etc) would be nice. Perhaps one similiar to Freelancer, where it updates everytime you encounter a new faction.

I haven't really looked for an out-of-game list, but one of the major SWG info-sites (like Stratics) might have complied one.
