Is Ranger defined by being the lone hunter in the wilds bringing down a massive creature solo by using his witsand experience?
As an incentive to Rangers to exist and to group with other players, they should be more effective at harvesting in a group, beingbetter able to pull the usableleftovers off a creature while others are losing a bit. So in that vein, there should be a "group creatureharvest +5" added to each box in the Trapping line, and it should be enough to offset the group penalty and then some. This would only add that ability to the Ranger while in a group, not to everyone in the group.

Its something a lot of us want. But so far we havent heard a word either way on it. Just the same thing about a group getting more then a soloist can. Which isnt alway true

I like to think of myself this way. We may not be UBER, we may not get our own weapon, or harvest as fast as other profession combo's.
But we do have what most professions don't have, brains.
