Thread: How do you get a hunting trophy?

Hello all,
Wondering how i can get one of those nifty hunting trophies that i see all over the place. Its a bol skull i believe. Gotta get one. its a matter of pride
Any rangers on flurry feel free to drop me a line. always willing tochat withmy brothers and sistersor offer ingame advice

There is an NPC in Mos Espa named Matt Raggs. He will send you ona couple easy critter assassination missions and will reward you with the Skull at the end. It's a piece o' cake.

Speaking of which are the Darklighter folks still handing out Krayt Skulls? I remember doing this and it was buggy as all getback. It involved Borvo in Moenia, unfinished quest lines (NPC Dialogue_01 and etc.), and various other issues. I was hoping some of these were fixed and hoping that I could try them in their fixed states.

Old Huffy and his pals are still in the animal head business, yep.
Funnily enough, have been redoing the low level quests again, for the fun of it. Totally different experience as a MR/RM than it was as a novice artisan / marksman.

Depends on how long ago you tried it. I got the Krayt skull a month ago, or so.
I wish there were more skulls to get. I display them in my home.

When doing the Mats Rags missions, make sure when completing the (Bantha Matriarch's Skull) mission that you abort the mission once you've got the skull but BEFORE you give it to Rags. Offload the skull in your Bank safety deposit, then go back to Rags and say you need to complete the mission another time. Then start the mission again, you'll be asked to go out again to find a Bantha Matriarch to kill, this time return the skull to Rags to complete the mission and move on. This way you've managed to pick up for yourself a nifty Bantha Skull to display proudly in your home. Actually, you can do this any number of times to manufacture them for sale or trade, but THAT might be considered to be the "e"-word... Doing it once to keep one for yourself is perfectly reasonable, however.
For those of us (virtually all of us, I iamgine, at this point) who have already completed the Mats Rags mission, find a newer player who hasn't done it yet and contract them to do this for you - you may not have hunted it yourself, this time, but you know you did once, so it's still legitimate for you to hoist that baby over your mantle!

Is it even possible to keep the Bantha horns / skull? I just completed that, and it didn't actually put them in my inventory.... bummer... but the Bol skull is pretty sweet!

Ran out and did it again. Just for the heck of it. No bantha skull for me, but hey, got another bol skull for the sittingroom.

Now that is really weird, because when I did the Matt Rag missions, I checked my inventory every time, and there was nothing in my inventory (and yes I did loot the corpses). So I took it to be that all the things he asked you to bring were 'imaginary'.
Can you clarify please?

Can anyone describe where this chappy is? Even better would be a wp. I areatracked for him all over entha and still cant find him.

Oh I do hope that was a typo in that above post of mine, or did I really spend 10 minutes areatracking around the wrong town? I'll find out when I next log on

OK, I could give the waypoint, but where's the fun in that...
Go to the back (/find bank)
There are three exits, one to the desert, one to the clone bank and one into town. There's a squill hangs around near there, just in the shanty town. Smelly thing. Anyway, that's the exit you want.
Come out, turn left, walk about 50m and either /target Mat (Mat Rags is the NPC), /areatrack and scan through the dozens of npc's hanging round in the shanty town, or just look for the bloke stood against one of the pepperpot buildings on the left hand side (opposite the shanty town) next to the guild hall. He's the one with the skulls round him, btw.
Oh, and Watto's junk shop's just behind you....
(Alliance. If you get aggroed by the ST's there, run straight across the road, into the shanty town, past the squill and through to the backstreet, there's a 'crack' in the outside row of buildings so you can /burst off into the desert before the ST's ai works out where the buildings end)
