how come i get no crafting xp for crafting camps?

You do get survival xp for trap and camp crafting, there just is no system message stating your xplike whatpops onscreen with any other crafting. I made enough traps and camps today to go from frontiering 1 to 2 today, so it definitely works. they'll work the message back in eventually.

what i mean is crafting xp to move up the engineering side of the artisan. i used to get 60-70 crafting xp for every camp i made(can't remember the name of it).

You no longer get general crafting exp for scout or ranger items. you get survival exp insted.

Most Rangers aren't trying to work up the Engineering tree in Artisan. Most Rangers have wanted this change for a long time. The only thing we used to be able to do to earn Wilderness Survival xp before this patch was to camp. This is a welcome change to most Rangers.

Personally, the only skill line I care about in Artisan is Surveying.

A question

Would you still get the survival xp if these items are created in a factory?

Im about to make a heap of stuff with the use of a factory but i might make it by hand, even though it will take forever if i dont get survival xp for it!
