After reading most of the posts regarding today's changes I just thought I'd throw this up there, hopefully a few of you find it helpful, or at least clear up some misunderstaning.
On gaining survival xp thru crafting tents/traps:
You will not see a message on your screen at all, i.e. "You have gained 45 wilderness survival xp" When you craft something you get xp added to what you have, if you want to see how much for each item jut look at the total before and after you craft and do the math. This isn't a bug, this is the way all crafting in the game works.
On /conceal:
I've seen posts that its worthless, requires too many resources, too specific resources, etc. For just about all the packs you only need one non-ranger harvested item. If you don't have a harvestor or don't want one you can usually get orgs for 3-6credits/unit. So for 3k you would have enough to make 50 packs. You can also use a weapon/general/droid crafting tool at a weapon/general/droid station and experiment on the packs you make and increase the stack from 3 to 7. So thats 350 for 3k spent. Getting 3k for any Novice Ranger isn't a problem, you're only need is to find someone selling the proper res or setup a harvester for a week and getting it yourself. It's far from a burden though and nothing that should be being harped on the way it is.
As for their usefullness, I'm finding they work very well, maybe it's because I'm at master. I don't know, but I had no problems avoiding or running right through aggro bunch's of creatures AND NPC's. Keep in mind though that this is NOT how the skill is even meant to be used. Check the details on the new abilities, the chance of things breaking now depend upon your speed and posture. So if you're running full speed thru a pack of something just about kicking them in the face dont be shocked when they all go nuts. Again, I haven't had this happen to me at all yet it may be due to the +100 Master Rangers get.
/areascan:
Does it need some work? Sure. Is it a pretty good start? Yes again. Think about the ability and how to use it before doing so and you may have more success with it. Using it on an outer worlds ring o'death doesn't really make too much sense since you know the list will be truncated at 50 and theres 8000 mobs around you, the same goes for the areas directly around cities. You would have to one Uber Ranger to be able to pick the tracks of one creature out of the other 100's of creature, NPC's and players running thru there every 5 seconds. For now use it the areas just outside of those areas and you'll find it alot more useful. Most of the suggestions I've seen on improvements for it look like they would be great and I hope thats where they're going down the road with it. Until then, make the best of something you didnt even have yesterday or just dont use it if you find it worthless.
Overall I'm happy with the changes today, we're getting some nice improvements overall and the future only looks better. Give the changes more than 6 hours before passing judgement and you may just find something useful in there for your playstyle.

I have Wayfaring 4.
My conceal broke on a Mob of CL4's.
I'm sure the Master part is helping you.
