Thread: Why must maskscent/concealment 'break' at all?

If a creature notices me, does that mean I'm suddenly visible to all? If these skills are going to fail on 1 out of 3 creatures, then why must we start all over? I can see making a check for each creature, but these kits are too expensive and time consuming to just 'break'.

ya, this never made sense to me. It was more realistic to stay "on" for a certain duration.

Agreed that the branches aren't going to fall off your clothes and the paint isn't going to wear off you face just because a mob looked at you wrong. Same with the musk that masks your scent. You could make a case for camobreaking after the first bit of damage you took (shoot, that krevol knocked the branch off and smudged my face paint), but not until then.
