Thread: I found my calling
Well, after trying out different professions and reading up on them, I've decided to become a Ranger. It was tough the idea of a$$ kicking weapons from the commando tree seemed enticing. But then I thought about how I like to play.
Of course I'll make my own hybrid profession like the other fella, but I like sniping and the idea of tracking things.
I prefer to play games where I can don some camo, crawl across the ground and take out an animal or npc with a headshot (this is where rifleskill treecomes in).
It seems though after reading all the "I'm a jedi" posts that eventually I'll have to drop professions so that I can learn others and get my jedi slot, but after I thought about it, I have no desire to become a chef even if it means to be a jedi.
So Sunday night I did the deed and dropped several professions with skills that I had earned and will concentrate on my scout skills, almost got trapping tree done (ain't ya proud). I'm a novice carbineer so it helps with the bigger animals.
I also found that our profession are few and far between, I haven't met a ranger on Ahazi yet. My guild likes the idea too, some are medic professions are prefer the organics instead of money for tips. Anyways just wanted to say hi.

I second (or third) the statement...Welcome...Ranger will be what you make of it...but it sounds like you will make the profession proud. We rangers do have a few benefits though that non-rangers cannot appreciate...I'm sure you will enjoy them when you become one.
