Ranger Archive

Terrain Negotiation from 0-50 is immensely useful. However, the 51-100 range seems kinda gimpy unless you're a rifleman. Do we have any chance of them adding some other effect than crawling speed to this - something simple, like say... swimming speed? I know if going from 51-100 caused me to swim increasingly faster until I would swim at the same speed I walked... I'd be quite pleased. I would guess this should be very easy to implement.

Has the 51-100 advancement of TN been discussed before? Am I beating a dead horse?

I can understand a CM needing and being able to sustain + to terrain nego... but half of ranger (to me) is + to terrain nego.. the 2x 1/4 is camps and ability to harvest twice as much as anybody. Getting almost 1k from a giant dune kimo is great. Traps? lol!! Camo? I have to go there, kill.. then make camo kits and vehicles are about to make camo useless.. unless its added to pvp. So .. terrain nego to me means... when I am out on a guild hunt on say .. lok.. I am king of the mountain for about 4sec before anybody else gets there.. but being guild hunt leader.. I have to wait on all of them.. so in all reality... I just harvest a lot of meat/bone/hide and.. I am kinda getting sick of it.. unless ranger gets a nice buffing in the next change to our professin.... I will be departing for a more usefull profession.. like CM.. I cam be half of the ranger I used to be .. and still get mad + to terrain nego if I keep exploration.. YAY!!! Thanx Dev's u ruined my one thing I enjoyed most.. /cry I love u guys.. just like I love the bulley who stole my lunch money in grade school..

Think about this.. out of all the ppl out there who started this game inthe first 3 weeks.. what % of them are left??? Hrm? Give u a hint... its over 50%.... more of a hint.. its over 60%.... 60% loss??? why? Cause u don't listen to us.... THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!

Although sort of useless,i would like to see a mod that lets you continue burst run through water/ or burst swimming,either way i find it more useful than an extra 50 terrain for nothing.<3

Since vehicles slow down considerably on hilly terrain, I'd like to see rangers get a Vehicle Terrain Negotiation skill to allow us to zoom through the mountains on speeders

If you want to swim faster... try using your mount in the water. Kaadu and spats are great swimmer especially.
