Add this to the list....

Bigger/More Productive fish for sure. Fishing should not be a relative waste of time when compared to hunting.

Nets. Cast nets or something similar where I can cast a net on the water and catch a fish or two.

HOW TO FISH:

1) Begin fishing

2) If you get a nibble, tug to the left or right

3) after step 2, if you get a bite, tug UP

4) If you get "Caught something", you will fight with the line. If you are in shallow water, walk to the bobber

5) YOU WIN THE FISH

Hey I think fishing is actually fun once you learn how to catch a lot (read the burst fishing thread). I like to see how many I can catch in an hour or trying to beat buddies, etc..

Plus dont forget that any large quantity of fish meat will always be in high demand from BEs and such.

"Fishing should not be a relative waste of time when compared to hunting."

Ah poor old fishing... It was added as a mini-game for the sheer fun of it, and it has progressed into an integral part of the economy.

"Nets."

There is a whole little subsection on Fishing in the State of the Profession which happens tocontain a Fishing Net request.

I fished on Rori for 2 days and now have a 500 unit stack of fish, pretty good quality too. 2 days was all I could stand tho. Not sure if a merchant can use fish meat tho... eggs however sell no problem. I'll get back to you after I dump this into a bazaar term.

If you drop a stack like that on the Bazaar it will be gone in a flash. IT could go for as much as 50cpu to the right person. BE's need them for Pet stim d's.

Oh man, I wish you were on my server. I'd buy all that instantly.

To add to the information here, the oasis on Tatooine is a good spot to fish, and especially power fish using Volsted's technique. It is shallow and you can walk all across it. Great for gathering your catch.

I'm also a Ranger, but have no idea if our harvesting skills help get us more fish. Anyone know?
