I've been working on it gradually for about 2 months. But a couple of days ago I got frontiering III and decided to grind out to IV. (That's all I need for master.) I set up camp south of the Coronet starport. Usually I'm afk and watching tv or, like now, yakking on the forums. I check back in every 10 minutes or so. Also, you get survival for crafting camps, so do that while you wait.

The reason I set up there is because lots of people grab missions from terminals outside of the starport and head south. And I've found that most people will take the time to pass through any camps in the area, adding to the total visitors and thus helping the xp accumulate faster. Set up a new one every 30 minutes.

If you have Frontieering III and a friendly Master Ranger or A ranger with F IV, have them make you a bunch of the High Quality Field Bases. You can use these at F III, and get the max exp. At 1250 per camp, the 70K exp isn't that difficult to accumulate.

If any aspiring rangers on Sunrunner want some of these camps, I have some available. Shoot me a tell and we can hook up.

Yeah in a relatively small group you can accumulate 1k xp in about 5 minutes IF people are getting healed and stuff. Usually depending on the side and if we are just resting or not i'll usually plop a camp up every 5 min.

Also alot of times in groups i've seen where the whole group will just stop for whatever reason(usually deciding what next) i've set up small camps during these times and sometimes they wind up taking alot of time. I've even found sometimes people are reluctant to leave your camp in cases like this cause they think someone needed a camp up for some reason so keep that in mind if you do that.

Yes, having people heal in your camp gives you faster Frontiering XP. Also, the more people that visit your camp, the faster you get this XP. Another thing that you can do while in camp is craft Scout/Ranger items. You get Frontiering XP for camps and traps. For my last couple thousand XP before finally getting to IV, I made my best camp (the FB from II) and made sonic pulse traps. I had a lot of extra resources that I didn't really need from my resource gathering (I loot and gather resources from EVERYTHING I kill), so I just made the traps. I'm not exactly sure, but I think I made about 100 Frontiering XP for each sonic pulse trap made. And although I hate destoying perfectly good things, as my inventory was filling up on them, I destroyed them to make room.

This way, you get Frontiering XP two ways - a) sitting in your camp and b) crafting traps or camps. It also gives you something to do while sitting in camp.

Another really good way of not "grinding" Frontiering XP is to go out hunting with a good mixed group. If you have people with pets in your group, they're always changing them out (especially MCHs I find), and they need camps to do this. Plus, if you're killing stuff worth the time for a group, people need damage and wound healing. Have them heal in your camp. It's amazing, if you do all this stuff and talk about the tactics you'll be using for the upcoming spawn, you don't realize how many minutes go by that everyone is standing about and doing things in your camp. You'll be getting 1k XP by doing this all the time, and before you know it, you'll have that next box filled up. And you fill it up by doing the stuff you normally would be doing anyway (healing, getting pets, getting organized), but just doing it in your camp. The best benefit to this approach I found was that I was really enjoying the game and not "wasting" time grinding out Frontiering XP. It's great!

Make a camp and while in it make traps and other camps like others have posted BUT when you are crafting traps/camps do it in practice mode you will loose the items but they will not show up in your inventory, also when in practice mode you get an additional 10% exp. I have 45k left to go for master myself and getting about 5k and hour crafting raps and resetting up camps every 20 min.
