I'm a Ranger and I don't even know

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds with info.

Maskscent:

• Works against creatures only.


• No item requirement.


• Lasts 5-10 minutes (not really sure about exact length, but this seems consistent with my observations).


• Can only be applied to self.

Camo/Conceal:

• Works against creatures and npc's.


• Requires a craftable camo kit for the planet you are on.


• Lasts up to 30 minutes.


• Can be applied to self and to other players.

I think camo is for both aggro npcs and creatures...and maskscent is only for creatures...

someone need to confirm this tho...

Awesome. That's actually the answer I was looking for.

I'm a Master BE and in order for me to sample DNA from high level creatures I picked up Ranger and Wayfaring 4. Since I only need for creatures not to see me I guess Explore 4 and some +15 Maskscent BE clothing is all I need then.

Personally, I've found that even with +30 maskscent clothing, the big critters break my MaskScent with alarming regularity. Camo works better against high CL creatures if you have a high skill mod for it.
