I took a level 12 player hunting last night on Naboo (looking for low level stuff with a few of my pets as backup for him)

I’m LVL 69 MCH, Ranger 2/0/4/3

He was getting used to the game and enjoying using my pets in a fight (and trying to get medic XP)

So every now and then I’d go off and find something that could hit hard and let it beat on me so he would have something to heal (Only to find he can’t heal me for some reason I can’t understand)

It was a "Bug’s all round" night with pets not responding/not healing for about an hour or so he didn’t get any Scout XP

Naboo was as under populated with creatures as I have ever seen it

So after 3 very frustrating hours we part company and I’m left sitting in my shop wondering what to do with the last 45 min before I get some sleep…

As the night can’t get any worse I head off to endor to get some Trapping XP Well…

One hour later (late for bed at this point) I get the third box in way finding (or wayfaring I can’t remember which it is) and I learnt a new pet skill (Hamstring L2) from one of my pets

So Ranger saved the day (Or night in this case)

I just wanted you guys to know that yes the game (and Ranger) is broken but you can still have a lot of fun when you get yourself lost in the wild

So now i'm a LvL 71 (YAY for me)

Looking forward to getting home from work today to see if I can get that last box 4/*/*/*

On the 15th November 2005 a Creature Handler dies, and few seem to care!

Nice to see a higher CL person taking out a lower level one. Seems to be a hard thing to get the higher CLs to do. I've taken out hunting parties of CLs 15-30. I have to admit, watching them run away from a lair they tapped too much is a bit amusing, but I help gun down the critters. Most showed a little interest in Ranger because that's what I had my title up as.

And it's a great way to help promote the profession too.

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.


I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.
