When you pre-order the game, you get a Skiff which can carry 8 people and the ability to play the game starting a week early (Oct 25th).
I plan on pre-ordering and I've put my name in the hat for Beta testing.
I hope that this Expansion is worth it...

I'll be pre-ordering. I've always wanted that skiff.. (Although Jabba's sail barge would be cool too)
Should make for a cool vehicle for hunting groups -- especially on Tatooine.
I think the expansion will be fun, as I like doing quest missions. I'm not too hung up on the blue-glowy Obi Wan, or that it takes place on mustafar... Although, I'm still not sure what to think about receiving missions from Obi-Wan.. (why does he want help from me, an Imperial Stormtrooper)
But maybe it'll make sense.. maybe I'll get to take some missions from Vader or the Emperor.
Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

They should have called it Trials of the Glowies...then you could take missions from Zombie-Wan, Zombie-Anakin, or Zombie-Calculus!frightwig wrote:

lol - I can see it now:
It is a dark, dreary night. You emerge into the light of a most unnatural "moon.". From where you're standing, it's quite clear that Zombie-Calculus has lost his pants.... Yep, this is the greatest story ever told, and the only question is will you go hawt or not!

Coming in Winter 2006:
Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Rodians.
In this expansion you (assuming you aren't a dirty Bothan or Wookiee) will have the opportunity to explore the rich heritage and customs of the inhabitants of Rodia (homeworld of the Rodians).
This quest based planet will give players the chance to learn more about the greatness that being a Rodian is all about. Quests range from helping the Empire capture and shave any stray Bothans, to discovering the secret to why Greedo missed Han Solo. (On second thought, we'll give that info away now. Greedo missed because Han Solo SHOT FIRST, and so Greedo was trying to avoid being killed.)
You will also get to learn the history of Rodia's #1 son, Oreet, and his twin brother Teero. You'll learn about how they started as mere commoners, and discover how Oreet became a Colonel in the Imperial Army, and how Teero has set up one of the most established clothing businesses in the Lowca Galaxy.
Preorder your copy today...

Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Rodians.
I think SOE would be more likely to go with a Bothan expansion:
You download the expansion but cannot find any content because it is all hidden. The worst thing is, we would never know if they put anything in the game or not...

The Ranger Revamp is finally here! It is on Bothawui and you must find it for it to take effect!
Than any Ranger toon of mine will be stuck FOREVER in the current state of the Ranger profession.(unlessasks me to inflict a mass genocide on all Bothans on the planet.)
Not an issue! There's all these Bothans rangers around; grab one and threaten to put him in The Garment unless he reveals the location of his home planet....
