Thread: Bah, Murphy's Law strikes again!
- /Unstick is a last resort
- P-Darts are the equivalence of a bag of caltrops, if you can time them right
- Always try to get incapacitated at range, and in a secluded area where the creatures do not wander to often
- There are more than just nasty creatures down there
- Burst Run + Terrain Negotiation = a hasty retreat
Hope you guys had a better experience down there. I don't think I'll be going back for a really long time
.
Yeah, except there is no way you canfinish the whole path in one /burstrun. I've tried with regular running, and they dohave ranged attacks, and I don't have enough health regen foods to keep up with their damage. Plus, there's the deranged wookie group near the middle of this trail. That's yet another annoyance.
Despite your experiences, this quest isn't easy.
I've not 'quite' finished the trail yet tho, so there's still time
Having said that, by thinking like a ranger, I've managed to stay alive a lot longer than some of these uberleet bombad clicky bangy shooty types. Look newb jedi with your scary lvl 25 and silly light stick, This isn't rocket science. If you shoot one and three of its pals join in, maybe its a Good Idea(tm) to avoid combat where you can't win? Get mask scent, go round. There's usually just enough room. And you commandoes... what is it with the area attacks? You just lit a big sign up that says to all them critters inthe cone "Free Lunch"

I soloed the quest down to the mynstingers, they were level 78 and I had to kill 24 of them so I decided to get some help in today. Got 4 people from my player city to group up with me, 3 of them hadn't done anything on the trail yet so we decided to take it from the top.
Soloing had been a drag of regenerating health, running from situations and taking forever to kil 1 out of 18 mobs needed. Doing this with 5 people was a breeze and great fun, we made it to the katarn three hours laterwith 4 of us but there we failed. Took a seven man group straight down this evening and got the badge
The first badge I've got that really felt earned.
So yes, it is possible to solo most of the Rryatt trail, but bring a group, it's so much more fun.
