Ranger Archive

Im not a ranger, this is just a thought. In my previous game Shadowbane there were cloaker chars and such, assassins and other classes w/ the ability of invisibility.

W/ jedi now cloaking runing hiding and crying, it makes it so lame trying to get bh money off them..

nevertheless i have a solution.

Make master rangers or something have the ability to detect hidden and reveal hidden cloaked characters. This would revive the ranger profession make them useful for pvp.

Any ideas? I also think maybe master scout should have this ability. So that a bh could be able to reveal his target cause noobs are hidiing

Interesting idea, but the unfortunate problem is most of us rangers, other than in warfare, don't usually go in for helping tracking individual players. Another problem is that areatrack really needs to be expanded in area and capability. A 500 m radius is not very effective if you have to search an entire planet for a particular person. So although it would probably be interesting for some rangers, my guess is that most of us don't want to turn into quasi BH, althought that might change since BH and Commando are the flavors of the day with the new CU.
